Tufoil 32 oz. Engine Treatment |
Tufoil Engine Lubricant is Guinness Book of World Records certified as "The World's Most Efficient Lubricant." Slipperier than Teflon to make engines start easier, run cleaner, faster, and longer. Tufoil is a super-suspension of micro-miniature PTFE particles and soluble Molybdenum, permanently suspended in oil. All moving parts become coated with PTFE particles which reduce friction and wear and will not clog filters or oil openings. Safe for all gas and diesel engines. 32 oz.

Why should I use
Tufoil instead of other engine treatments?
Tufoil engine lubricant has been tested by the US Government at the National
Bureau of Standards. Their results prove that the surface friction of Tufoil
(.029), makes it the most slippery substance known to man!
How often should I
change my oil?
We recommend you change your oil and filter every 3,000 miles.
However, many of our customers find that their oil is still clean at this point
because of Tufoil's ability to cut friction and wear. They will then make the
decision to extend oil changes accordingly.
How much Tufoil
should I use?
We recommend 8 ounces of Tufoil as an initial treatment when you change your
oil. (This would be for the standard 4-5 quart crankcase...less for smaller
engines.) After this initial treatment, just 4-ounces of Tufoil added to the
crankcase at each oil change is sufficient. The basic guideline would be 2
ounces for each quart as an initial treatment and 1 ounce per quart at each oil
change after that.
Will
Tufoil engine treatment affect my car’s acceleration?
Yes. Many engines tend to lurch and hesitate when the accelerator is rapidly
depressed. Tufoil dramatically reduces the metal to metal drag under these high
shock stress conditions.
Can I
use Tufoil with my boat engine?
Tufoil works well in marine engine. It should be used in the same manner as
automotive engines. It is also used in the lower unit gear box where the
propeller is located. Tufoil contains rust inhibitors that will help to protect
a marine engine when it is shut down.
How does
Tufoil work with diesel engines?
Quite well. Independent tests show that Tufoil increases the cranking speed of
cold diesels by 9.6%. Naturally, easier starting means that your battery life
should be greatly extended, as well! Users report startling acceleration with
diesels using Tufoil.
Can I
use Tufoil engine lubricant in my differential?
Yes you can. Use about one part Tufoil in ten parts high grade differential oil.
It'll run cooler. Tufoil has no known adverse effect on posi-traction clutches.
Will
Tufoil improve my fuel economy?
It will. Reduced friction means better fuel efficiency with Tufoil. In spite of
the wide variations of engines and drivers, independent tests have shown
significant improvement with Tufoil of well over 5%!
How does
Tufoil impact fuel injection?
Fuel injected engines are self adjusting, automatically idle themselves back
when the lubricant is improved with Tufoil, just as the carburetor would have
done.
How does
Tufoil affect my idle speed?
On older engines, it is not at all unusual for the idle speed to increase when
Tufoil is used. If the engine block has warped or has serious internal friction
problems, the improvement with Tufoil can be quite dramatic. It will be less
noticeable in loose engines that are in tip-top shape.
Does
Tufoil prolong engine-life?
You can literally "double the life of your engine" by using Tufoil regularly!
Most people consider 100,000 miles normal for their car. If you use Tufoil
regularly at every oil change, you can expect at least 200,000...that's not
uncommon! Better gas mileage, less repairs, together with longevity of the
engine really add up quickly.
Does
Tufoil engine treatment work with motorcycles?
Tufoil works extremely well in 4-cycle engines that have a separate sump for
their oil (never mix with gasoline. We get glowing reports of smooth, cool
operation with wet clutch bikes.
What
about my new car warranty?
Your new car warranty will not be effected by using Tufoil. We do recommend that
you run your new car between 5,000-10,000 before you start using an engine oil
additive like Tufoil.
Will
using Tufoil help with an engine that burns oil?
Many old engines show signs of oil burning. Tufoil can help in some cases by
freeing up partially sticking piston rings. There have been some dramatic
improvements reported from the field where Tufoil freed up the rings and they
started working properly again. However If the rings are cemented solid in their
grooves or the cylinder is scored, no lubricant can eliminate the smoking.
Will
Tufoil harm my oil filter?
Not at all. The PTFE particles in Tufoil so small, they pass through the filter
as if it wasn't even there! Bulk filters that use the big wads of cellulose or
edge on toilet paper rolls, filter fine.
Does
Tufoil work with older engines?
Yes. However, If you have an old classic that ran on oils before 1950, we
recommend taking the engine apart and physically cleaning the sludge out of the
crankcase and out of the valve covers before using Tufoil. A high detergent oil
can stir that material up and cause problems.
Will
Tufoil help during hot weather starting?
Tufoil helps prevent the clamping of hot parts and you will find hot starting
much easier. New laboratory test data shows that engine oil runs 42% cooler with
Tufoil.
Will
Tufoil help during cold weather starting?
The Canadian Government tested Tufoil at their cold regions lab in Kapuskasing
and found an increase of nearly 10% in cranking speed! Their tests also showed
an improvement in fuel economy during cold weather operation.
Can I
use Tufoil with synthetic oils?
Tufoil mixes with all synthetic and mineral oils used in automotive engines! If
in doubt, you can check compatibility by warming 1 ounce of Tufoil and 10 ounces
of any oil and leave for 24 hours. If there is no settling, it is compatible.
Should I
use Tufoil in my transmission?
Tufoil is too slippery to use in automatic transmissions. The oils in them need
to be a bit grabby or the clutches won't work properly. In manual transmissions,
about one part Tufoil in ten parts high-grade transmission oil will make them
run cooler and shift smoother.
How does
Tufoil work with turbo chargers?
Turbo-charged engines work extremely well with Tufoil in the crankcase. (Don't
forget! When you shut your turbo engine off, to idle it before you shut down. If
you don't, any oil will be cooked in the hot bearings.)
How does
Tufoil affect engine wear?
Tufoil stands head and shoulders above the rest. We have run thousands of
abrasion tests in our lab over the last 25 years and no other oil additive
performs close to Tufoil. For results of these tests call us and we'll be happy
to send them to you FREE of charge.
Can I
add Tufoil to wheel bearing grease?
Wheel bearing and chassis greases benefit from the addition of
Tufoil. Don't use too much or the stiffness of the grease will be lost. It will
become too fluid. Mix about one part Tufoil to ten parts grease. Mix thoroughly
so the final product is uniform. Remember! In disk brake cars, the disks get
very hot due to braking, not friction from the bearings. If you use too much
Tufoil, the grease's melting point can drop too low and cause it to run out of
the bearing.
