Hella FF75 Series Auxiliary Free Form Lamp Kits

Good product, replaced existing fog lamps on 89 SHO, Hella lamps much brighter, have not driven at night yet to see the difference. simple wiring, ran new wires for lamps(heavier gauge) used existing fog lamp switch to turn lamps on/off.

As others have noted, the instrucitons are terrible - even though they presented are in many languagues, they still use those horrid out of proportion, ourt of scale sketched diagrams that make assembly an exercise in thinking... and the verbiage chosen to descrinbe the process is hard to follow.

I didn't need to use the wiring as I was replacing existing lights, , but even as someone very experienced in wiring, I found that part of the instructions very challenging to understand. Again the pictorials were terrible and there was no skematic or verbal instuctions.

The lights were easy to install and illuminate the sides of the road well. Not impressed with the wiring. The wiring should have been multi colored and included a fused line to the battery. I ended up buying an in-line fuse and used colored electrical tape on the end of each wire going from the dash switch to the relay. Other than the wiring, I'm impressed with the lights.

The lights themselves were of very good quality, but the plastic housing left a little bit to be desired. They give off pretty good light for shorter distances. They are pretty bright. I would buy again.

Bought the fog light version to suppliment the "toy" fogs built into my bumper.
The lamps are high quality and produce a lot of light.
My kit did not include the multicolor wiring harness described by "TJ". I got a roll of black wire, and just enough lugs (uninsulated) to create my own harness.
Although a fuse was shown on the wiring diagram, none was included. Had to buy a fuse holder. Had to guess what size fuse to put in it - chose 15 amp.
Bottom line: Nice lamps. Basic wiring skills are required to install them. There's very little text in the instructions. If you can interpret pictures you'll be ok.

Theses are really great lights, very bright you get what you pay for these are a little more money but worth it. The wiring left a little to be desired, just got a roll of black wire and non insulated connenctors. If you know what you are doing not a problem. If you are not good at wiring be careful. I really didn't have any problems but have done a lot of wiring in the past.

This driving lamp kit from Hella is the perfect solution to a limited space application without a sacrifice in quality or performance. I was surprised and pleased at the highly professional installation kit which came standard with the lights: high quality rocker switch, professional multi colored wiring harness ( with ample length for just about every instl I think) and an electrical schematic / instructions which were clear, concise and easy to follow. I initially had some doubts prior to my purchase but after the installation of this kit, they were all blown away!! I have to highly reccomend this kit to anyone interested in a low profile installation without compromise on performance. Auto Barn made it easy on the wallet too. Win Win for all.
