EZ down for 2006 Nissan Frontier

Easy installation. Good instructions. Bought this 8 months ago and it worked really well until recently the damper has a tendency to pop out of it's upper eyelet post and the tail bracket bent really bad to the point the tailgate would not close with out further damage. luckily I was at work and popped off the bracket and bent it back as best I could. Not 100 percent straight but good enough to keep working. This design could be redone to be tougher. The action on the damper does not kick in until it has swung down about 12 inches and then it kicks in and does it's job. not the most consistent drop action but it will stop your Nissan Frontier (HEAVY) tailgate from slamming down.

This product works as expected and described. Instructions are fairly clear. Only issue I've had is the top of the damper itself rubs against the truck and is starting to wear into the paint.
